Our Day At The Zoo

Marianna's first trip to the Detroit Zoo! Thanks to babysitter Laura, we are now members and can go all the time. We had so much fun...I think this is the first trip of many!


We took the train to the far end of zoo and walked back through all the exhibits.
Marianna LOVED the train ride...leaning out and waving the entire time.







Marianna hated being in the stroller. She wanted to be out climbing and getting to see all the animals. Every time we would put her back in the stroller, she would scream until she got out. Next time we will take the wagon!







We went to the fountain to cool off as Marianna was starting to melt down. The little water bug could have stayed there forever watching the water.

The finale was the lemon ice...she loved it and it probably felt really good on the FOUR TEETH she has been cutting this weekend.

I loved hanging out watching the seals "kiss"... they kept swimming down so close to us!

We let Marianna pick out one stuffed animal as a souvenir for her first zoo trip. We were almost out of the shop with the lion until she saw this big googly eyed penguin at the register. It was love at first sight! Like father, like daughter!
