Picture Day at Midvale

I could only snap a few pictures before we headed out the door to school this morning. It is picture today at Midvale and we had a rough morning! Marianna has ANOTHER cold! This morning, thanks to Benedryl (why she looks so groggy...) and a night time waking, she woke up very late and we had to rush this morning!
Thanks, Grandma, for the super cute outfit for pictures! She loved it but we fought over what shoes she was going to wear....Marianna won, and got to wear her sparkly pink princess shoes...not my first choice, but she was super excited to show everyone her poodle skirt at school!

The only way I could get a smile out of her this morning was to ask her what she is going to say to candy on Halloween..."TRICK OR TREAT"...so here she is saying it over and over again!

I ended up putting a bow in her crazy hair, so this is hopefully how she will have her picture taken today...but with the eyes open!

Halloween Brunch at Birmingham

We had such a fun morning at Birmingham Halloween brunch! Marianna was up bright and early so excited to go the halloween party with all her cousins!
Here are some pictures before we left...
(ummm...check out all the leaves on the ground in the background!)

Marianna was very excited to see her friend, Madeline, at brunch! Here are some pictures of the girls dancing...notice they are both princess Belle!

The club was decorated awesome as usual for Halloween and a great time was had by all....most importantly, by Marianna!

A Wonderful Fall Sunday Afternoon

It was so nice to get out today and get some fresh air! We spent some time on the play structure while DJ was grilling filets for dinner...YUM! What a wonderful fall sunday afternoon! I can't believe in only 4 weeks we will be a family of 4...

Head first down the slide...didn't go so well...

Pumpkin Patch

Dressing up to brave the cold, our family set out this afternoon in search of the perfect pumpkins to display and carve for Halloween our favorite "pumpkin patch"... Marianna was so excited!

There was so much to choose from...Marianna spent most of her time running around trying to get her hands on the pumpkins that other kids were picking out...but finally found a great pumpkin!

Next, we set out to find Mommy and Daddy pumkins and one for baby sister!
Marianna found the perfect one...and gave it some extra special lovin'...

This little guy was the last one to make it into the wagon and it has since been dragged around our entire house and even watched Marianna eat dinner (later they watched a video together!

Now that our home is decorated for the fall with our flowers and pumpkin we are ready for Halloween!

Farmington Gymnastics

Marianna has loved this gymnastics class since she was about a year old. After taking a break for the summer, we are back for one last mom-tot class before the new baby arrives. Makes me a little sad to have this last time sharing such a fun activity together!
The gym is set up differently every week and they follow paths that involve balancing, climbing, swinging, jumping, etc...I wish I would have taken the camera to the most fun activity ever...The foam block pit...but I forgot :(
Here are just a few shots of her going through a follow the leader activity.

Grandpa joined us today....Marianna's absolute favorite though is swinging on the rings!!

If you think I could get her to even look at the camera while at gymnastics....

Say Cheese!

Sorry I have been off the blog lately. I thought I would have all this spare time when Marianna went to school, but it hasn't been that way at all (due to my intense nesting desire right now at 34 weeks!).
School is working out great for Marianna. She loves to go in the morning and there are no more drop off problems. Actually, our teachers told us on curriculum night that they think she is going to be a great big sister because she takes care of and plays with all the kids so well. That was so nice to hear! The downside about school is the germs passed around and the bug finally hit us hard last Friday. We have been battling ever since. Hopefully on the mend though now.

I have some random pictures of Marianna taken a few weeks ago and today. Turns out now she loves getting her picture taken on her own terms. She will grab the camera and say "take a picture of me mommy so I can look at it". Apparently, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree ;)

You might ask..."what is she doing here??" The answer: shuffling. She loves to shuffle and dance. Today, because her school was closed due to a power outage, we stayed indoors, tried to recuperate and listened, danced to Marianna's favorite CD: The Backyardigans. I know all the words.

(Oh, and in case you haven't put two and two together...Marianna loves Paul Frank wear aka: Small Paul....but actually about anything monkey.)
