I should have included on the last post that March 9, 2007 was Marianna Nota's 9 month birthday! We had her doctors visit on Monday at she weighed in at 18 lbs, 25th percentile for weight (fyi: she weighed 7 lb 14 oz at birth) and was almost 29 inches long, putting her in the 90th percentile for height...with an average (50th percentile) head circumference--this is shocking considering the size of DJ's melon :) This has been pretty consistant with her stats since birth.
The appointment went great...because DJ and I were in the room. Marianna is definately experiencing "stranger/separation anxiety", especially stranger. Whenever there is a new person in the room, she is ok as long as they were no where near her! When will this end?!
We are excited, but also scared to death, about our upcoming 4 hour 30 minute flight to California. When we bought our tickets, she was 4 months old and we NEVER thought she'd be as active as she is right now. Also, Marianna loves screaming to get peoples attention. I hope there is no one around us, I used to HATE being seated near babies/toddlers on planes!
Marianna has been pretty early in hitting all of the 9 month milestones..crawling up stairs, cruising, babbling (da.da.da), clapping, waving bye-bye (she just started), and now stands alone momentarily ... the doctor said he thought that she'd be walking in 2 weeks! I don't think we are ready for a MORE mobile version of Marianna. I cherish every minute and every second i get to spend with her and can't believe that she is 9 Months already...she is our "wonderchild", our "lovey-dovey", and is also our "freakishly strong" "big, big, big, baby girl". I am so excited to watch her continue to grow and develop into a little lady, but forever she will always be my lovey!
