Just Me and My Mom

I am cherishing my alone time with Deena before we leave our little Beaumont bubble to see what the new normal will be like.  All I know is, with the arrival of little miss Deena, I now have that feeling that our family is complete.

In the NICU

Miss Deena had to spend her first day of life in the NICU.  Due to the c section and the fact that she was arrived at 36 weeks, she had a small dificulty with her breathing and "transitioning".  So Marianna was first introduced to baby sister here in the NICU, (where they took excellent care of my new little baby girl).

Spring?

So I have been on bedrest, in the hospital for 2 weeks, at home since 32 weeks on bedrest, and the Spring time has been cold and rainy! We have been spending a lot of time in the house and everyone is going stir crazy! Here are some random shots from the time spent inside.

Great Friday

On Good Friday, we dyed the Easter Eggs. This is become our tradition. Marianna had a ball and Daniella was very curious!! (something changed wtih blogspot when i was on bedrest bc most of my pictures have been posting grainy and I am unable to arrange them. Until I figure out what is happening, I am only posting a few pictures from the day... and not writing a lot ;-) It is actually making this job a lot easier!!

The Easter Bunny came to Georgetown and both girls were into the hunt this year. (More so Marianna ran the show, but Daniella seemed to enjoy the excitement!)

Marianna and Daniella bond over watching "Once Upon A Dream" song from Sleeping Beauty on the ipad. Marianna at age 3 can work the Ipad better than anyone!

Here is the crazy thing...Marianna as a 18 month old toddler, had a lot more separation anxiety than Daniella ever had. We had a hard time just dropping her off anywhere or with anyone...but she always LOVED Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny...always had big hugs and kisses for them. Daniella, who can be dropped off anyplace, anytime, with anyone looks at Santa Claus and the Easter bunny with the FEAR OF GOD! No way was she getting close to the bunny...throwing herself down on the floor in tears! Go figure!!

But she is such a lover of stuffed animals...
