Obsessed

I think the word "obsessed" might be an understatement when it comes to Marianna and Taylor Swift. She has several songs of hers memorized, but her favorite is "Love Story". We have it on repeat on the Ipod and she dances and sings to it again, again, again, and again. We also have a Ellen that Taylor was on and Marianna is even obsessed with the interview and one other performance, live, of Love Story that she loves to put on her dress up princess dress and imitates all of her moves. And Marianna is only 3, so I am getting a glimpse into what life in going to be like in the next few years with my girly girl.

Chuck E Cheese Birthday Party

We had a small group of friends to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate Daniella's one year birthday. Apparently I found out the next day that Daniella had a double ear infection, but at the party you would never be able to tell because she was mesmerized by all the kids, lights and cake! Everyone had a great time...especially Marianna!

What is a Becharas birthday without initial cookies??

My Nikon is getting fixed so I only had my Flip for Daniella's birthday, so here are some videos from the special day with our family. You can tell Daniella was not a big fan of the cake...

Daniellas One Year Checkup

Daniella weighed in at 21 pounds...50% for weight. 75-90% for head circumference....and 25-50% for height. She is in a size 4 diaper...she has a few words like mama, dada and baba (even though she is officially off the bottle)...she loves almost all foods and has slept through the night since nine weeks. We call her lil d and she is a cuddler. Her favorite lovey is her little giraffe pillow and is a huge fan of her twilight turtle. In six short months she will be a big sister. Her walking is quickly turning into a run and she loves to climb almost as much as Marianna did. What a year it has been since she came into our lives! Love you, d!

First Santa Sighting

We went to the English Garden holiday open house to see santa and pick up the highly anticipated "elf on a shelf".  Even though we know Santa really comes to BCC in a couple weeks...this one was a good warm up!

Election Day

I took Marianna to the polls with me this morning to demonstrate the importance of getting out and exercising the right to vote.  I explained to in detail why we were voting and what we hope to accomplish today and how we will watch the tv tonight and see what happened.  To everything I said she thoughtfully replied that "one day when she is a grown up...she wants to be a republican just like mommy and daddy."  It brought a tear to my eye.  That's how it starts.....
