I know this book bag looks bigger than Marianna but it only has a blanket and lamby pillow....so its pretty light. Oh, and her new purple crib sheet for her cot. Marianna is all set for back to school and would like to go ASAP!

To Infinity And Beyond

It is almost the end of summer...and what a summer it has been! We had such a great routine on our days off spent at the pool with friends...I don't think we missed one nice day.
Marianna started going off the diving board last summer towards the end, and this summer, she picked right back up. However, the difference between the beginning of the summer and the end is that my assistance is no longer required. Awesome!! I can sit in a chair, with Daniella, and watch her jump off, swim, get out and repeat a dozen times.
For the record, I am not pooled out yet. I could do this every day for another couple months and be very, very happy!

Faster and Faster

Daniella has finally picked up pace on her walker and I think she loves this new found freedom to roam. She is really proud of herself when she is walking...her face just lights up. Way to go Lil D!

9 Month Stats

I am surprised Daniella was all smiles today at her checkup...we came to find she had a double ear infection. It completely surprised everyone that was around her today at the pool, as she laughed, giggled and splashed the entire day.
Daniella weighed in at a whopping 20 lb 5 oz (75%) and height is in the 25%. Her head size is the one that took the prize in the 90 percentile!! Where Marianna was our string bean, you are more like our little garbanzo bean...and couldn't be happier!!

I think it is funny the way she is attached to this broom...it must be the polish in her ;)

Danielle Blazic took these pictures of Marianna when she was 7 months old...I loved the skirt and pearls!

This morning, although Daniella was cranky, I tried to recreate the look before she outgrew the skirt so I could have them for comparison.

I really could get NO smile. I think she hated the skirt, but loved the pearls!

Pictures of the Girls

Marianna is 3 years and Daniella is 9 Months and these are the first pictures I had taken of the both of them. I gave up on trying to get the shot myself! However, I might try again in our backyard now that I see how the photographer had them sitting. In the first picture, Daniella was just supposed to stand at the chair and smile, but I think she thought it was a walker and kept pushing it off the backdrop. I also think the next one is cute!

I ordered this one of lil D...just so sweet and I love seeing her little feet!

This was pretty cute of Marianna, but since Midvale is really good about bringing in Simply Candids, I think we have a couple of her solo ones from last year that I like better.

So hard to get a GREAT picture of the two of them. I like the second one of Daniella better, however, it looks like she only has one leg! The first picture is better of Marianna but Daniella isn't giving it her big Daniella smile that she has become "famous" for. I ordered both, but got more of the first one.

I took these with my cell phone at the computer and sent it over to the blog...

Overall, I was pretty happy with the Sears Portrait studio. Next time, I will request a "girl" photographer because I think having a "boy" photographer didn't really go over so well...This is her latest "marianna" thing that we just deal with.

Lil D at 9 Months

I have been off the blog because our summer has been so busy with so many nice days that we have really been taking advantage...not taking pictures to just enjoy time spent in the moment.
On August 5, Daniella turned 9 Months! Wow, where has the time gone!
Daniella is crawling everywhere and blows away the defination "getting into everything". She is fast and furious when she is determined to get somewhere and no one can keep her from what she wants. It is like a silent determination. She is very chatty and we hear a lot of Mama...dada...baba...nana...etc...and of course, her high pitched squeals and giggles! She loves to laugh and always is complimented on her demeanor. She is a snuggle bunny, loves to cuddle! She is clapping, walking with a walker (slow and steady), cruises around the playroom.
Daniella has just begun to start feeding herself table food. So far, favorites seem to be hot dog, peas, and any kind of carb! Daniella, like big sister Marianna, loves the water. She basically has no choice since we are at the pool everyday but is happiest in the deep end watching Marianna dive off the diving board and swim to her in her floatie. She doesn't mind at all to have water splashed in her face and go under. I love my two little fishies!
Marianna has been an awesome big sister and has been nothing but sweet, loving, and kind with little one. She loves to hop in her crib in the morning and often the two entertain each other. Her check up is this week, on Friday, where I am sure she will weigh in at a healthy weight since she has seem to given me sciatica from holding her on my hip at partys and the pool. I don't mind. I love every second of my time with lil D!
