Marianna Push Car Video

I had to post this because I thought she looked so funny in this car. She really seemed to like it...i don't think as much as i did though!

Marianna did a bunch of new things this past week! On Tuesday, Marianna learned how to pull herself up to a standing position from crawling. DJ and I were so excited! That is, until that night when she woke up at 4am crying because she didn't quite figure out how to get down from standing in order to go back to sleep. This happened for two nights in a row, sleeping, standing and chewing the crib. After we covered our crib rails with gummi teething crib protectors, we figured that she was OK to be left alone again. Well, yesterday Marianna became a cruiser! She started out kind of slow in her crib, but then by today she was cruising back and forth on the fireplace and around any furniture that we let her pull up on to! Here is a quick video of the cruiser...(she also started saying DA...DA...DA on wednesday night! You might be able to hear a little of her jargon in the video) .

Marianna's Sick Again!!

Yes, again (and so was I)! She has been a little cranky the past few days and in trying to cheer her up a little, we brought out the push car that my sister got her for Christmas. I don't think she knows how funny she is! I don't know about how much fun she had...but DJ and I had a blast pushing her in this..the look on her face was priceless and I tried to capture it in these pictures.

Baby You Can Drive My Car!

Well, Grandpa and Grandma came over today to see Marianna. As usual, they didn't come empty handed! Grandpa surprised Marianna with a new walker that doubles as a little car to ride on. Thank god for our hardwoods! At first, Marianna didn't know what to make of the new vehicle, but after we pushed and pulled her around a little bit, she got the hang of it. What a little thrill seaker! Here she is taking her new wheels for a spin..

Toasted!

Upon the recommendation from my friend Sara, I bought Marianna some toast today. Marianna has never been a "big eater", so I was suprised how fast she ate this toast! It was probably so exciting for her (as it was me)! She has been trying to eat the puffs I bought her but can't quite figure out how to pick them up yet since her pincher grasp is not developed...but this toast was super easy for her to pick up and munch away on. She's growing up so fast!

TGIF!

Thank God It's Friday..not much to report this week.

Marianna has her second tooth coming in...we can now see it popping through! Her new "thing" is kneeling. She kneels at the end of the crib in the morning waiting patiently for someone to come get her....singing, talking, playing with Kermit (her frog in the crib/lovey). We love to watch her on the monitor during this time. She is so active and is great at keeping herself busy! Here are some pictures of Marianna with her favorite toys, books, and playing with the medela nursing stool that she loves so much!

Marianna also discovered that her jumperoo also makes really loud noise when she jumps in it. Last night that is all we heard was her jumping and screaming to baby einstein!

I said I would never do it. However, my friend Sarah donated a hairbow to Marianna today at Gymboree because her hair is always in her eyes. My Mom and Sister have been after me to give it a shot...so here she is... baby with bow.

Just another Saturday...

I haven't posted in a few days, we haven't had much going on. Today, Marianna went to her first Gymboree class! I think she was a little freaked out, being a kept baby and all...but managed to do ok with all the stimulation. Here she is getting ready for her big day out!!
(oh, and I threw a couple new toys into the bath today, she went crazy for the water wheel on the wall!)
